The checker

The comparison runs inside your browser. The card, processor and memory size you select are never sent to a server, because there is no server involved in producing a verdict: the whole catalogue ships with the page. Your last selection is kept in your browser's local storage so the form is not empty next time, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Nothing detects your hardware. There is no WebGL fingerprinting, no driver probe, no downloadable scanner. You type what you have, or you do not.

The email list

If you sign up for the announcement email, we store the address you typed, the topic you signed up for, the time you did it, and two random tokens - one that confirms the address, one that removes it. That is the entire record.

• Double opt-in: an unconfirmed address is never mailed except for the one confirmation.
• No pre-checked boxes anywhere on this site.
• One click unsubscribes, with no confirmation screen and no questions.
• The list is never sold, rented, or shared, and it is used for the one announced purpose.
• Once the announcement has been sent, the rows that received it are deleted outright - not archived, not marked inactive. That deletion is a step in the sending tool, not a promise we have to remember to keep.
• Neither email loads an image or carries a tracking pixel, so we do not know whether you opened one, when, or on what.

Advertising and trackers

There is no advertising on this site, no ad network, no consent banner, and no third-party analytics script. Nothing loads from another domain: the fonts, styles and data all ship from here.

If a store link ever appears next to a hardware recommendation, it will be an ordinary link marked as sponsored, and clicking it is the only thing that would ever tell that store you came from here. The recommendation itself comes from the same engine either way - it is computed from the bottleneck in your rig, not from who pays.

Getting your data removed

Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, and the record is marked removed immediately. If you have lost the link, ask and we will remove the address by hand.
