Independence

WillItRun is an independent tool built and run by its authors. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by or connected to any game publisher, developer, platform holder or hardware manufacturer. No page here is an official page for any product it discusses, and nothing on this site should be read as speaking for anyone but us.

Why the names appear

A tool that answers "will this game run on my PC" has to say which game and which card. Game titles, hardware model names and company names appear here for exactly that purpose: to identify the product being discussed. They remain the trademarks of their respective owners, and their use here is descriptive, not a claim of any relationship.

We keep that use to the minimum the job needs. There is no publisher name, logo or product mark in our brand, our domain, our logo or our site name, and no page presents itself as an official source for any product.

Publishers currently named on this site, because their games are in our database: Bandai Namco, Bethesda Softworks, Bungie, CD Projekt, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Epic Games Publishing, Game Science, Larian Studios, NetEase Games, Pocketpair, Rockstar Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Valve, Warner Bros. Games, Xbox Game Studios.

Artwork, logos and fonts

• No cover art, key art, screenshots or logos are embedded, bundled, reproduced or hotlinked here. The card shown for each game is generated from that game's own metadata - the title, the year, the genre - and a bar pattern seeded from the title. It is drawn by us and copies nothing.
• No publisher or vendor typeface is used. The site sets IBM Plex, licensed under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1; the licence text ships with the site at /fonts/OFL.txt.
• Nothing loads from another domain. Fonts, styles, images and data are all served from here, so no third party learns anything about you from visiting.

The numbers, and who they belong to

Where a publisher has released system requirements, we say so and link to their page; the mapping of those requirements onto our 1-100 index is our own work and our own opinion. Where a publisher has released nothing - including any game with no announced PC version - every threshold on that page is our estimate, clearly marked as an estimate, and is not sourced from, approved by or connected to the publisher. The methodology page sets out exactly how each number is arrived at and which ones are still unverified.

Corrections and requests

If you are a rights holder and something here concerns you, or if any figure on this site is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it. Data lives in plain files and the site rebuilds from them, so a correction takes effect the same day rather than sitting in a queue.

No advice, no guarantee

Verdicts here are computed comparisons between published or estimated figures. They are not a promise about how any game will perform on any machine, and they are not purchasing advice. Hardware behaviour depends on drivers, settings, resolution, thermals and patches that no index can capture.
